We really believe in personal, proactive service at ROBIN. So you can contact any one of us, any time you like. But because it’s always nicer to know a bit about someone before saying hello, we’re sharing short profiles of our fine folks in a brand new series.
Second in the spotlight is Hanife Yeter, our Marketing Communications Manager. Continue reading to learn more about Hanife’s skill for mixing the creative with the analytical, her love of lunch with colleagues, and how flexibility can be the key to professional success.
Hi Hanife, tell us a bit about what you do at ROBIN?
I’m Hanife Yeter and I am the MarCom Manager. I’m in charge of coordinating all of ROBIN’s internal and external communications. For me, it’s not just about juggling all the pieces of communication content but doing it with a rhythm and agility that leads to increasing brand awareness and recognition.
And why did you choose your profession?
Marketing communications is a bit of a mix. Like an artist, I gravitate towards the creative side of things and figuring out the complexity of setting up something new. At the same time, I am an analytical thinker, who has chosen this field because it enables me to use both the left and right parts of my brain.
What exactly is your favourite thing about working at ROBIN?
The most exciting aspect of working at ROBIN is being surrounded by highly-driven, energetic and supportive team members. The office culture is warm and familial. Looking back at my previous jobs, I used to take most of my lunches alone at my desk. Each day at ROBIN fresh food is delivered and we all eat lunch at the large, shared table with colleagues from different teams. I also really appreciate the flexibility working at ROBIN requires. Every hour is diverse, and no two days are alike.
What makes me tick
Can you tell us of a time when you lived by one of our company values?
We are Stronger Together
In my position as Marketing Communications Manager I spend much of my time creating blog posts. This requires collaboration with team members across all departments. I rely heavily on brainstorming sessions, where knowledge and thoughts are freely shared in order to nurture creative ideas. Thanks to the office culture of openness and transparency, I feel encouraged to share my ideas with the team while also receiving constructive feedback about my writing. By receiving recognition and compliments for the work I've done well, I feel that I am being valued. At ROBIN, people genuinely care about those they work with, which is why I feel stronger together.
Aside from work
How do you like to spend your free time?
When I’m not working I like to be outside and take advantage of the public parks in Arnhem, which is the Dutch city where I live. I also like to visit musea. I’m very passionate about food – some might even say a ‘foodie’ – so I spend lot of time cooking and trying out new recipes.
